Join WWIRE SoCal for MY BODY TO LOVE – Connections:  A Film Screening and Sharing Circle. Join us to watch a series of short films together in community and reflect on the universal themes of belonging, acceptance and relationships. Preeti Mankar Deb is a South-Asian, EMMY award winning filmmaker who crafts personal films designed to crush stereotypes and elevate diverse voices. My BODY TO LOVE – Connections is her response to the nation’s youth mental health crisis. She has been producing films for over 15 years and has received multiple awards for her films which have helped change-makers get laws passed, enabled leaders to raise funds for their causes, helped reframe painful stereotypes and allowed families to preserve and share their history. Her films have screened on National Television, on the Jumbotron in Times Square, at private events and at film festivals around the world. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons, 9 and 11.
